Since starting work for KYP in October 2023 I feel that I have grown in my own abilities and my ability to support my learners. It was my first time delivering apprenticeships as my previous role was for Diploma’s only. I was fully supported during my learning journey and now feel confident in aspects of my role from this support.
Regular standardisation meetings keep me up to date for changes, new policies and meeting the needs of the learners. The opportunity for ongoing CPD, both mandatory and optional have meant that my knowledge is up to date to continue to deliver teaching that is not only relevant to the apprenticeship as times change, but refreshes information that may have become dormant.
In my time at KYP I have completed my IQA LV 4, re taken my English LV2 and am currently completing my Maths LV 2 and CET LV 4. All this additional training has given me the opportunity to progress in my role with hopes of taking on more responsibility this year once my CET is completed.
