I am employed as a Tutor/Assessor by KYP Training and have been working for the company since March 2024. My role is to support learners from several different Residential Childcare companies as they complete their Diplomas and Apprenticeships. I do this by giving guidance and learning on a range of subjects covered by the qualification as well as helping them build confidence in their skills for their role and help develop their knowledge and understanding of best practice and changes within the sector.
I also offer support and advice on Welfare, Wellbeing and Career progression. KYP training as a company supports me with this through support from other Team members and Managers, through regular Standardization/Team meetings , Supervisions and Appraisals. I also have regular opportunities to discuss any concerns that I may have, either personally or with regards to the Learners I work with. KYP encourage and support me through access to training and encouraging me to keep developing professionally. I am currently completing my CET qualification to help develop my teaching skills.
