Approved training provider KYP Know Your Potential Consultancy UKPRN 10032315 & City and Guilds 067890

KYP Know Your Potential Consultancy (UKPRN: 10032315) is an approved training provider registered with the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) and holds accreditation as a City & Guilds Centre (067890). Registration on the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) e-tendering portal (Bravo) authorises KYP to deliver education and training on behalf of the ESFA and to appear on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).

As an accredited centre, KYP collaborates with City & Guilds and works in partnership with the UK Government to foster an integrated and strategic approach to learning. This strategy is subject to ongoing review by regional colleges, utilising both quantitative and qualitative data to inform continuous improvement and drive the transformation of workplace service delivery.

In alignment with the perspective of Lester & Costley (2010), KYP recognises that assessment in work-based learning must be both valid and supportive of a positive learning culture. Assessment is approached as a collaborative, iterative process, led by the learner and incorporating transdisciplinary measures. KYP’s educators are committed to advancing knowledge, encouraging reflective practice, and strengthening the connection between workplace experience and academic achievement. Work-based learners are assessed against generic criteria to ensure that acquired knowledge aligns with module requirements and that guided learning hours are appropriately delivered.

KYP’s delivery team facilitates underpinning knowledge sessions, observes practice, conducts learner interviews, and utilises scenario-based discussions during standardisation meetings to identify current challenges and develop strategies to enhance learner engagement. Regular audits by City & Guilds have commended KYP’s approach, as reflected in the following External Quality Assurer (EQA) feedback:

“The centre has specific assessment methods which they implement to support individual learning needs. There is also good evidence of learner feedback records, these are completed by the learner and include feedback on how the learner has been inducted, their understanding of the appeals procedure, how assessor feedback is received and how they feel that they are progressing.” — City & Guilds EQA, 2024

Through these practices, KYP demonstrates a commitment to high-quality, learner-centred provision that meets both regulatory standards and the evolving needs of the workforce.
