Amanda has been an incredible tutor throughout my apprenticeship and has played a huge part in my development and confidence in working with young children in a residential setting. From the very beginning, she made learning feel achievable and relevant to my role, helping me connect the course content directly to my everyday practice.

She has always been available at the end of the phone or by email whenever I need the support, guidance, or reassurance. Amanda takes the time to talk things through, helps me break down the apprenticeship modules, and encourages me to recognise how my own experiences already meet the standards. This helped me step back, look at the bigger picture, and complete my modules confidently using real-life examples from my work.

The apprenticeship itself has been extremely beneficial, giving me a deeper understanding of safeguarding, child development, trauma-informed practice, and professional boundaries within a residential setting. As a result, I now feel far more confident in my role and in my ability to work positively and effectively with young people.

Amanda’s encouragement, patience, and constructive feedback have genuinely shaped my confidence. She has helped me to believe in my own abilities and supports me to grow both professionally and personally. I am extremely grateful for her support and would highly recommend her as a tutor.
